Degree in Medicine at University of Szeged
The Faculty of Medicine of Szeged belongs to the medical and pharmaceutical centre of the University Albert Szent-Györgyi. The study programme in Medicine has been recognised by the WHO. There are no additional tests in the EU.
Upon completion of your degree, you will be awarded the degree of Dr. Med. The degree lasts for six years. These are divided in two years devoted to general medicine, three years of clinical studies and one last rotations year. The international study programmes began in 1984. Ever since, thousands of students from more than 50 countries have studied Medicine at the University of Szeged.
The candidates to access the Faculty of Medicine have to pass an exam in Biology, Chemistry, and English. Several times a year, the exams are organised in Spain along with the test for the Faculty of Semmelweis and the Faculty of Pécs.
Students who have taken healthcare-related subjects in secondary schools and have a medium level of English can usually pass without great difficulty.
